Mission Statement
The mission of Wesley United Methodist Church is to glorify and worship God by connecting people to Jesus Christ, growing committed disciples, and relieving suffering.
A Reconciling Congregation
Wesley United Methodist Church is a Reconciling Congregation. This means that we are a congregation that welcomes and encourages the full inclusion of all people, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
The Reconciling Committee adopted the following mission statement: Wesley United Methodist Church is a Christian congregation seeking intentionally to welcome all persons regardless of sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, age, ethnicity, physical or mental capacity, education, socio-economic, or marital status.
We believe that we are being reconciled to God and one another through Christ Jesus, the head of the Church. Therefore by God’s grace we will strive to welcome all persons into the membership and fellowship of our Church.

Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Sooyoun (“Soo”) Kim has felt called to walk with God and convey His love to others. She finds joy in bringing people to Christ. Her most recent pastoral position was at First United Methodist Church in Chatham, MA. Through loving and serving, Pastor Soo wholeheartedly believes in providing a safe place to those who are vulnerable and oppressed in our society and environment. Love, dedication, compassion, sympathy, humility, servanthood, passion, honesty, transformation, creativity and trust are among her highly valued practices in ministry. “In our faith journey,” Pastor Soo states, “your own God-stories, your personal relationship with God, your God-experiences, these are the things that tell who God is to you. Sharing and acknowledging your story builds faith. It gives us a strong root that will hold us into the ground of faith.” Pastor Soo lives with her husband and three daughters. She and her husband arrived in the United States from Korea in 2010. They both obtained their M.Div. degrees from Boston University School of Theology.
Meet Our Music Director
Our Director of Music, Becky Rosendahl Isaacson, comes to Wesley after serving 47 years in full time music ministry at three previous churches. After retiring in June of 2021, Becky felt called to continue to serve God through music and is excited to be the Director of the Wesley Sanctuary Choir and the church’s organist/pianist. Becky feels music is an integral part of the Worship Service, bringing both singers and the Congregation to a deeper and more spiritual relationship with God and Jesus. She graduated from the Eastman School of Music with a Master’s Degree in Performance and Literature and from SUNY-Fredonia with a degree in Music Education. Becky’s husband, Al, an organ designer and builder, passed away in 2017. She lives in Longmeadow with her pet ministry dog, Gracie, and has one son, Daniel.
Meet Our Education Director
