Holy Week and Easter Events

Holy Week Events & Worship
Palm Passion Sunday - April 14 at 10:00 a.m.
Our worship begins with the procession of the palms to recall the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. The palms we wave reflect the fragility of the celebration, since a mere five days later the crowd’s adulation turns to hatred. The service ends as we look to Good Friday and Jesus' journey to the cross.
A simple coffee hour will take place after worship.
Ecumenical Good Friday Service - April 19 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.
The Weeping Tree:  A Cantata for Good Friday - April 19 at 7:00 p.m.
The Weeping Tree is a profoundly moving work for Holy Week by Joseph Martin. It is a poignant portrait of the cross that uses beloved hymns, newly composed music, thoughtful narration, and simple sacred symbols to create a touching testament of grace.  Come prepare your hearts for Easter by journeying to the cross.

 Easter Sunday - April 21
Easter Brunch from 8:00 - 9:15 a.m.
A simple brunch will once again be offered.  Please note this will be the only formal fellowship of the day.
Easter Egg Hunt at 9:30 a.m.  (Bring your own basket!)
There will be an outdoor Easter egg hunt (weather permitting) starting at 9:30am. All children grades 6 and younger are invited to participate in the hunt. We would love help from older youth for hiding the eggs.
Easter Worship at 10:00 a.m.
This day makes us a community of life and hope.  Everything about our worship will celebrate the great mystery of our faith:  "Christ has died.  Christ has risen.  Christ will come again."  This Easter Celebration Service will include joyful music by our choirs.
The service will close with the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah, sung by the choir and the congregation.
To allow families to gather together and celebrate, there will be no coffee hour following worship.
