All are welcome!

Welcome to WUMC-Hadley

Wesley United Methodist Church is a Reconciling Congregation. This means that we are a congregation that welcomes and encourages the full inclusion of all people, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. The Reconciling Committee adopted the following mission statement: Wesley United Methodist Church is a Christian congregation seeking intentionally to welcome all persons regardless of sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, age, ethnicity, physical or mental capacity, education, socio-economic, or marital status. We believe that we are being reconciled to God and one another through Christ Jesus, the head of the Church. Therefore by God’s grace we will strive to welcome all persons into the membership and fellowship of our Church.

Good Friday and Easter Services

Good Friday Service Please join us on 3/29 at 7pm for our Good Friday service. It will be a hybrid service and the zoom link will be sent out prior to the date. “This Good Friday day, you are invited to walk “the way of sorrows” to the cross, but through the eyes and experiences of one of Jesus’ closest disciples. As a nod to the Stations of the Cross, this service highlights Peter’s role in the crucifixion narrative. In this way, we follow Jesus to his death with Peter as our companion. By focusing on Peter, we imagine how we might have acted and behaved had we been there as one of Jesus’ followers and friends.”

Easter Service Join us this Easter for a celebration of renewal, hope, and the resurrection of Jesus! Our special Easter service will be held on March 31 at 10:00 am. This joyful occasion is an opportunity for us to come together as a community, reflect on the message of new beginnings, and share in the light of Christ's love. Expect a service filled with uplifting music, inspiring sermons, and moments of deep reflection. Whether you're a long-standing member or visiting for the first time, we welcome you with open arms to partake in this time of fellowship and spiritual rejuvenation. Don't forget to bring your friends and family to share in this meaningful celebration. Abundant refreshments will be served after the service, providing a perfect opportunity for community connection and conversation. Mark your calendars, and let us gather to honor the resurrection story that reminds us all of the promise of new life and eternal love. We look forward to celebrating with you this Easter!
